Breaking: Nvidia numbers

Nvidia is currently reporting figures for the past fourth quarter. Earnings were $0.89 per share, above analyst estimates. Sales were $39.33 billion, also higher than analysts expected.
Nvidia expects revenue of $43 billion for the first quarter. Analysts had expected revenue of $41.78 billion prior to the announcement. The gross margin fell from 76 to 73 percent in the fourth quarter. But that's not entirely surprising, as the company has switched to a new product family, Blackwell.
Sales of Nvidia's new generation Blackwell reached $11 billion last quarter, making it "the fastest product increase in our company's history," the company said in a statement. The company had previously said it expected Blackwell sales of "multiple billions of dollars" this quarter. "Blackwell sales were led by large cloud service providers, which accounted for approximately 50% of our data center revenue," Nvidia said in its comment.
After the share ended the day with a gain of 3.7 percent, it fell slightly by 0.2 percent after hours.
