Critics warn of the negative consequences of this tariff policy for the economy and the development of inflation.The European common currency was weaker on Wednesday evening: one euro cost 1.0486 US dollars, and one dollar was therefore available for 0.9537 euros.The price of gold was barely changed, with 2,917 US dollars being paid for a troy ounce in the evening. This corresponds to a price of 89.43 euros per gram.
Meanwhile, the price of oil fell: a barrel of the North Sea Brent variety cost 72.75 US dollars on Wednesday evening around 10 p.m. German time, which was 27 cents or 0.4 percent less than at the end of the previous trading day.
