Another anti-drug operation in Progreso: a property is searched for alleged drug sales

PROGRESO.- On Wednesday morning, a new anti-drug operation was carried out in the port of Progreso , which took residents of the Ciénega 2000 neighborhood by surprise.

According to what has been found out so far, despite the fact that the case has been handled with secrecy, the operation is believed to have started at around 4 in the morning.

According to witnesses in the area of ​​92nd Street between 89th and 91st, which corresponds to a walkway that is attached to the Ciénega area.

Since dawn, elements of the State Police , the Attorney General's Office , the National Guard and the Navy arrived to secure a property where the sale of narcotics had allegedly been reported.

The area was fenced off for at least one block around, so it was not possible to see from 89th Street which property the search was taking place on .

As the case has been kept secret, it is unknown whether anyone was arrested or whether any illegal substances were seized.

With this case, four operations of this type have already taken place so far this year, two of them in the municipal capital and two others in the Chicxulub Puerto police station.
