Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip leave at least 70 dead: 22 children and 15 women among the victims.

At least 70 people have been killed and dozens more injured in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since last night, the Gaza Health Ministry said in a preliminary count.
The tally includes the 50 Palestinians who lost their lives last night in a series of heavy bombings targeting the northern part of the enclave.
The deadliest attacks were concentrated in the town of Jabalia and the refugee camp of the same name, which were attacked overnight after the Israeli army identified three rockets fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel last night.

Two of the rockets were intercepted by the Army and one fell in an unpopulated area, causing no casualties.
An hour before midnight, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee, speaking in Arabic, posted a message on social media calling for the evacuation of several areas of Jabalia.
"This is a final warning before the attack," the spokesperson stressed.
Three hours later, Basem Naim, a member of the political bureau of the Islamist group Hamas, confirmed at least 40 dead, mostly women and children , and shared a video showing several minors piled up in a morgue, along with the phrase "STATE TERRORISM."

According to the Indonesian Hospital of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip, which received the bodies from the attacks on Jabaliya, at least 22 of the deceased were minors and 15 were women.
Since the beginning of the war, Israel has prevented independent entry of the international press into the enclave, making it difficult to verify the death toll, although the UN and various international organizations believe the figures reported daily by the Gaza Ministry of Health.
According to the ministry's latest tally, more than 52,928 people, mostly children and women, have died in Gaza since the start of the war, while another 119,846 have been injured in the Israeli army's relentless bombardment.
Throughout Tuesday, hospitals in the enclave received 20 bodies, including the body of a Gazan who was unearthed from the rubble and had been killed in a previous attack, the Health Ministry reported today.

In addition to the early morning attacks on Jabalia, which primarily killed members of five Palestinian family clans (the Najjar, Sweilem, Maqbel, Khalla, and Qattanani), Israeli forces also attacked tents for displaced persons in the south of the enclave today.
In the coastal area of Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis, at least four people, including two girls and a woman from the same family, were killed in a drone strike, according to local medical sources.
An attack on a family home in the Al Fukhari neighborhood of Khan Yunis also took place, leaving six dead, all from the Abu Amouna clan.

In addition, three Palestinians who were injured yesterday in an Israeli attack on the same town died this Wednesday, according to the same sources.
All this comes after the Israeli army bombed the European Hospital in Khan Yunis on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least 16 people and wounding more than 70, according to the latest figures reported by the Palestinian press.

Several Israeli media outlets reported last night that the attack targeted Mohamed Sinwar, brother of former Hamas leader (and architect of the October 7, 2023, attacks) Yahya Sinwar.
According to the Israeli military, the attack targeted "Hamas terrorists" in an underground "command center" beneath the hospital. The Islamist group's armed wing, however, denied any leaders were in the area at the time of the attack.
