Ministry of Foreign Affairs laments the death of 27 people following deadly floods in Texas.

A flash flood that struck the Texas mountain region turned into a catastrophic flood overnight on July 4th of this year. So far , 27 people have died, and 20 girls are missing from an affected camp.
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its regret for the material and human losses caused by the incident, while U.S. authorities are providing support to the population.
Tragic floods in TexasThe Guadalupe River rose as much as nine meters after the rains, overflowing its banks and causing widespread damage in the Kerrville and Hunt areas. Videos circulated on social media of roads devastated by the tributary and cars completely covered in water.
One of the most tragic events following the floods was the disappearance of 20 girls from Camp Mystic, a summer camp housing more than 700 children when the rains swelled the Guadalupe River. So far, two young Mexican girls, Silvana Garza Valdez and María Paola Zárate, have been located.
The Texas National Guard continues to perform rescue operations following the emergency declaration, which has prompted hundreds of evacuations.
"The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends its deepest condolences to those who died in the flooding in Kerr County, Texas, United States. We express our solidarity and support," X said on his personal account.
Likewise, U.S. President Donald Trump reported that authorities and first responders are doing the necessary work to assist the affected population in Texas.
"The Trump Administration is working with state and local officials in Texas to respond to yesterday's tragic flooding. Our Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, will be arriving soon," the president wrote on social media.
