Misterius talks about his serious fall due to a ring error during a fight: 'They want to make firewood out of a fallen tree'

He flew from the third rope... but he hit himself when he fell. The wrestler Misterius had an accident in an exhibition fight for the farewell tour of the Son of the Saint and was hospitalized.

The Mexican wrestling fighter entered the ring on February 22 in an exhibition match in Aguascalientes when he tried to perform an acrobatic stunt and was unable to do so due to problems with the ring ropes.

After the accident of the fighter Misterius , he was taken to a clinic for evaluation, where he revealed details of his health status.

“Due to my condition, it is difficult for me to keep the mask on, but this is to clarify speculation regarding my accident. From the beginning I was treated, the doctors treated me well and there will be Misterius for a while,” he said in a video shared by the Los Rudos del Ring website.

The Mexican wrestler dismissed rumours about being paralysed , but confirmed that he is in critical condition in hospital: “ I dismiss those sensationalist statements , do not be led by them, where they say that I will not walk again and that I am not well, but I am well, they want to kick a fallen tree , as they say out there, it was a serious accident (...) I never asked for financial support, they do everything voluntarily, which I appreciate.”

He is wearing a neck brace and his right arm is immobilized , but he did not specify the type of injury he suffered or whether he underwent surgery.

Misterius assured that his colleagues LA Park and El Hijo del Santo are aware of his needs and asked if he requires financial support, but did not reveal more details about his health status .

Misterius climbed to the third rope for an acrobatic stunt against his rival and as he gained momentum, the rope he was standing on broke.

The professional wrestler did not manage to turn around completely and fell headfirst onto the canvas, then lay down as the referee approached.

One of his teammates entered the ring after witnessing the blow that Misterius received.

The blow he received was after jumping from approximately one meter and 30 centimeters (regulatory measurement of the distance at which the third rope must be from the ring surface) according to the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre ( CMLL )

Other wrestlers had accidents in the ring, but some of them did not manage to survive the injuries caused by the blows, for example Hijo del Perro Aguayo and La Parka from AAA .
