After the summer break, television is about to restart. In the coming days, we'll see where each piece fits together and whether they can make the gears work in a new season that brings many new additions as well as old acquaintances. What will the networks' main bets be in the battle for ratings?
The 1Public television will kick off September with several new features. One will be changes to its newscasts, with Pepa Bueno in the evenings , Marc Sala and Lourdes Maldonado on weekends, and Álex Barreiro and Lorena Baeza in the mornings, while Alejandra Herranz continues to anchor the afternoon show. The afternoons will also bring new features with the premiere of Directo al grano, a new program hosted by Marta Flich and Gonzalo Miró, whose final schedule has yet to be confirmed.
September 8th will be the day that La revuelta returns, opening La 1's prime time from Monday to Thursday. This will be followed by a line-up of old acquaintances, such as MasterChef Celebrity and Late Xou , and new shows whose slots are yet to be announced. Among the programs that La 1 has in its portfolio for the new season are the talent show DecoMasters and the adventure race Hasta el fin del mundo , both starring celebrities . It also has to find a slot for the game show Trivial Pursuit and the new format Cuánto, cuanto, cuanto , presented by Eva Soriano. In fiction, public television has the historical drama Ena ready (which has been in the drawer for months waiting to be released) and the comedy Sin gluten .
Antena 3Even before becoming the leading network, Antena 3 was already committed to maintaining a strong foundation in its programming, with stable schedules that barely change, and now that it's leading the ratings, that won't change. It already has a lineup with many strong points where it barely needs to make any changes. El hormiguero will return on September 1st. Sonsoles Ónega will also return to Y ahora Sonsoles and Susanna Griso to Espejo público . With its usual daytime favorites, fiction will continue to reign supreme for several days between Turkish series and La encrucijada, which continues its broadcast.

In addition, the show is already promoting one of its few new shows, the prime-time premiere of Juego de pelotas ( Playing Game ), a quiz show hosted by Juanra Bonet. Also returning is Emparejados (Emprews ), the show hosted by Joaquín Sánchez and Susana Saborido, in which the couple chats with other couples, which in this case will include Bertín Osborne and his daughter Alejandra, Carmen Morales and her sister Shaila Dúrcal, and Victoria Federica de Marichalar and her friend Rochi Laffón. Also scheduled for broadcast is what will be the 12th edition of The Voice in Spain, which in this case will have Pablo López, Malú, Sebastián Yatra, and Mika as coaches .
FourBefore the summer, Mediaset presented some of its new programs at an event for advertisers , although without specifying release dates. One of the formats that appears to be returning first is Territorio Pampliega , whose promotion has been intensified. In El camino de la verdad , Luján Argüelles will narrate the experiences of several parent-child couples who face difficulties in their relationship with the help of a coach on the Camino de Santiago.
Super Gómez. The Marathon Man will be Raúl Gómez's new program, in which he will travel the world in search of the most unusual races and the human stories surrounding them. And in Proyecto Sistiaga , journalist Jon Sistiaga dissects different social realities. Horizonte, Cuarto Milenio, Código 10 , and Callejeros are other regulars on the channel that will return.
TelecincoThe Mediaset channel faces the challenge of emerging from its particular wilderness and finding a way to boost its ratings. To achieve this, it's relying on three notable names: Jorge Javier Vázquez with El diario de Jorge and as the main face of reality shows (he will host the main gala of Supervivientes All Stars and Gran Hermano) , Ana Rosa Quintana for the mornings, and Joaquín Prat for the afternoons. The latter's move to Telecinco's afternoon slot will be one of the main new additions to its schedule, replacing Tardear .

The second edition of Supervivientes All Stars will kick off in the first week of September, with veteran contestants from the format. Casting is also already underway for Gran Hermano , which will be the twentieth with unknown contestants. Another bet for the evening will be the return of Bailando con las estrellas . In terms of fiction, they have the series La agencia , based on the Spanish series Call My Agent and starring Javier Gutiérrez and Marta Hazas, ready for its premiere. Another new series already confirmed is ¡Vaya fama! , which will review current affairs on weekend mornings and will serve as a substitute for Socialité .
The SixthThe Atresmedia channel has Aruser@s as one of its best weapons, and it knows it. It closed its third season as the morning leader in July, with an average 16.8% audience share, and in the new season it will extend its broadcast to weekends with Aruser@s Weekend, editions curated by Hans Arús. September will also see the return of other iconic programs on the channel, such as El intermedio, Más vale tarde , and Al rojo vivo . And Salvados is already warming up for the return of Gonzo with new reports.
Among the new shows coming to La Sexta this fall are the six-episode Franco-Belgian series Saint Barth , which follows a peculiar inspector who grew up on a Caribbean island resort . Also in the mix is Tesoro o cacharro , a format hosted by Iñaki López in which contestants must discover which of several seemingly worthless objects is actually a valuable treasure.
