Three National Police officers have been poisoned by a narcotic substance after they ate "by mistake" some jelly beans soaked in drugs. This was confirmed to Europa Press by the National Police , who specify that the events occurred last week. According to the newspaper Sur , officers from the Judicial Police Brigade of Malaga, everything happened after a search in a cannabis club in the Malaga town of Fuengirola.
During the operation, the agents seized items and substances that were allegedly being distributed under the guise of candy or jelly beans, suspecting that they could contain narcotics. The agents took them to the police station, where they labeled and sealed them. Apparently, according to the newspaper, one of the bags was left unprocessed.
The poisoning occurred when other officers, who were returning from an intervention on the street, entered the coordinators' room and, upon seeing the bag of sweets, ate them. Afterwards, three of the police officers began to feel unwell and even had to go to the hospital, where the poisoning was confirmed and they were given treatment. All three were discharged hours later.
