Transformation

A few days ago, seven years passed since that historic July 1, 2018, when the people of Mexico decided to change the course of their history. It wasn't just the election of a President; it was the collective choice of a new path, a new hope.
That day, millions of Mexicans resolved to break with a past of corruption, neglect, and more than 30 years of neoliberal governments, to launch a national project based on social justice and the well-being of the majority.
With Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the helm, the Fourth Transformation ceased to be a promise and became a tangible reality. Since then, firm steps have been taken to rebuild the Mexican state from the ground up, always prioritizing those who had been ignored for decades.
One of the most significant advances is the 11 million people who have escaped poverty thanks to a living wage policy, social programs, and the strengthening of the local economy. Furthermore, the minimum wage increased by more than 100 percent in real terms after decades of stagnation.
Social support was expanded, elevated to constitutional status, and today serves as an example of how to govern with heart and a vision of the state, to such an extent that more than 80 percent of households receive direct support from the government.
Furthermore, the development vision expanded with the Felipe Ángeles International Airport, the Mayan Train, and the Interoceanic Corridor, while, in the legislative arena, the reforms promoted by the 4T have been fundamental.
The reform of the judiciary, the constitutionalization of social programs, the defense of energy sovereignty, and the disappearance of agencies that duplicated functions mark a turning point in institutional life.
It hasn't been easy. The transformation has faced resistance. But despite the attacks and lies, the people have supported this project time and again, because they know that, for the first time, their promise is being fulfilled.
Today, with President Claudia Sheinbaum at the helm, we are ushering in a new era. Her leadership, her firmness, and her commitment to the principles of the 4T give us certainty. As she herself put it: President López Obrador laid the foundations of the first floor; now it's time to build the second floor with responsibility, unity, and love for Mexico.
Those of us who are part of this movement reaffirm our willingness and conviction to continue supporting the President in the consolidation of this historic project. Because there is still much to be done; because, for the good of all, the poor come first; and because Mexico's transformation cannot be reversed.
