'Counterattack' the new Mexican action film coming to Netflix

Netflix continues with great productions full of quality and made in Mexico for Mexicans, from comedies, dramas, series, to horror films that have conquered audiences of all ages.
However, there is a genre that has been little explored in our country, and it is the action genre: explosions, outbursts, brutal sequences, fights, bursts of shrapnel in the best Hollywood style, and that now Mexicans will be able to enjoy thanks to Netflix in its new film that arrives on the platform: "Counterattack."
"Counterattack" tells the odyssey of a group of elite soldiers of the Mexican army, who, after rescuing two hostages in Tamaulipas, will be fiercely pursued by an organized crime cartel that will not give them any respite until they see them dead. Avoiding falling into political tones or criticism of Mexican reality, "Contrabando" focuses on the story of this group of brave soldiers who will fight to survive, in a necessary film for Mexican cinema.

"It is a genre that has been little explored in Mexican cinema. Movies have always been about the mafia, scammers, and organized crime. So this is an action movie that portrays five heroes, five honorable, patriotic soldiers with a sense of service and protection for their nation and their homeland . At one point in the movie, they meet two people who represent the opportunity to uphold the commitment they swore when they joined the armed forces."
"Counterattack," although it includes elements of organized crime in its plot, does not make a political critique or a judgment of Mexican society: it simply tells the story of the survival of a group of military experts, which for Luis Curiel is a breath of fresh air for Mexican cinema, since "there are already many films that portray that side of the coin."
We recommend: These are the gifts that the Oscar nominees will receive"This film is not about organized crime, it is about honorable soldiers, brave soldiers who could very well be firefighters, doctors, lawyers, because in all professions there is good and evil, light and darkness. And obviously there is the political and social context of the country, which is our reality, but the film responds to the need to find another perspective of what it means to be Mexican. I strive to be an exemplary Mexican, to be a good citizen, and our soldiers are that. Where is this national cinema that talks about these brave, fighting, committed Mexicans? We are a great nation, so I think it is important to redefine what it means to be Mexican within the cinema," concluded the actor.
"Counterattack," the new Mexican action film also stars Luis Alberti, Noé Hernández, Leonardo Alonso, Mayra Batalla, Guillermo Nava and David Calderón León, and is directed by Chava Cartas. The film will arrive on Netflix this Friday, February 28. Don't miss it!
