Bill Gates revealed what he should answer when asked his salary aspirations

Bill Gates , the co-founder of Microsoft, is one of the most successful business magnates. He was also the richest person in the world for 18 years: from 1995 to 2007, then in 2009, and from 2014 to 2017.
All these years of experience have helped Gates to know different tricks and strategies to succeed. In 2020, during an interview with professional basketball player Stephen Curry, the philanthropist revealed what he should answer when asked about his salary aspiration.
The conversation was posted on Curry's YouTube channel, 'State of Inspiration,' and the athlete asked the entrepreneur to pretend to be a young software programmer applying for a job at Microsoft.
One of the topics discussed was salary expectations. Bill Gates took advantage of the space and revealed key information to answer during a job interview.
What should you answer when asked your salary expectations, according to Bill Gates? When asked about your salary expectations in a job interview, Bill Gates recommended answering this question: " I hope the options package is good. I can take risks and I think the company has a great future, so I'd rather get stock options than cash compensation."
He also added: "I've heard other companies are paying a lot, but treat me fairly and emphasize options ."
In this way, the business magnate indicated that with the answer you can demonstrate that you are not easy to convince and that you are open to exploring a series of options, even if they are not on the table.

You can also show that you are interested in the business by linking your profits to your performance , which in turn shows your confidence in your own performance capabilities.
Then, still pretending to be a candidate for a job at Microsoft, Bill Gates also revealed what to answer when asked another typical interview question: "Why should we hire you?"
"You should look at the code I've written. Regardless of the classes I've taken, I develop software. Look how ambitious I've been there; I think I've gotten better over time. I think I get along well with others. Although I can be a bit critical of their coding, I prefer to work in a team. I appreciate lofty goals. I enjoy considering how we can predict the future. I want to be involved because software is cool," he replied.
