Epa Colombia enrolled in university: 'They are giving me the opportunity to get ahead'

After several weeks in the Buen Pastor women's prison, content creator Daneidy Barrera, better known as Epa Colombia, recently mentioned that, during the five years and two months that she must remain deprived of her liberty, she wants to fulfill her dream of studying.
However, this is not the first time that the businesswoman has spoken about her desire to be a professional, since in 2021 the woman had told her followers through social media that she intended to enter a higher education institution.
Despite this, the influencer did not refer to the subject again and over the years she dedicated herself completely to her beauty business, then began her motherhood process and focused fully on the care of her daughter Daphne Samara.
Shortly after, she was captured and convicted by the Supreme Court of Justice for the damage caused to some TransMilenio stations in the city , carried out during the social demonstrations of November 2019.
As soon as she was transferred to the penitentiary, Epa Colombia made the decision to take advantage of the days she will be incarcerated to train the women with whom she shares the facility , with the aim of teaching them to properly use the tools of a hair salon and have more opportunities when they obtain their freedom.
In addition, in the middle of an interview with Noticias Caracol, Daneidy Barrera expressed that throughout the weeks she has been in jail , her desire to return to her studies and become a professional has been on her mind.

The influencer also pointed out that despite how difficult it has been to be away from her family, she considers that being at Buen Pastor has been a positive experience for her life , since many people are giving her the opportunity to get ahead to help others.
For her part, journalist Rocío Franco mentioned in the magazine 'Vea' that the businesswoman recently enrolled in the Minuto de Dios University Corporation, where she will begin studying business administration.
Additionally, she stressed that Epa Colombia had been emphatic when, in an optimistic manner, she explained that she needed to occupy her mind with more activities and have a purpose in life so that her stay in prison would be shorter.
Despite this, several of her followers on social media have started some legal actions formally requesting the release of the content creator, so the lawyer Francisco Bernate asked Internet users to stop filing these requests so as not to hinder the legal process in which the defense is working.
