The smell of dog urine is annoying and can linger in your home , affecting the comfort and freshness of the environment. This unpleasant fragrance is often generated when dogs urinate indoors. However, it's not always a problem. There are five simple ways to eliminate these invasive odors.

The HomeCenter website offers some foolproof tips for carrying out this task and preparing them in the best possible way:

1. White vinegar and hot water - Mix equal parts white vinegar and hot water in a spray bottle.

- Apply to the affected area and let it sit for about 20 minutes. - The vinegar neutralizes unpleasant odors and disinfects the surface, working well for both fresh and dried urine.

3. Baking soda alone - Sprinkle pure baking soda over the dry area where the odor is present. - Let it sit overnight and vacuum it up the next day. - It is a natural odor neutralizer, but should be used in the absence of pets because it can be toxic to them.

4. Lemon with baking soda and water - Mix 100 ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 50 ml of water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda.

- Spray the mixture on the affected area and let it sit for half an hour. - Lemon has antibacterial and antifungal properties, and leaves a citrus scent that combats urine odor.

5. Home remedy with hydrogen peroxide, water, and liquid soap - Fill a glass halfway with water, add the same amount of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of liquid dish soap.

- Place the mixture in a spray bottle and spray the affected area. - It is a safe, powerful, and more effective method than bleach for eliminating dog and cat urine odor.
