The Authentic Rondalla of León successfully closes the 2025 Rondalla Festival.

León, Gto.— The Rondalla Auténtica de León successfully closed the 2025 Caminos de Guanajuato Rondalla Festival , which ran from Saturday to Sunday until 11:30 p.m. Twenty-two groups participated, offering romantic and love music to a devoted audience.

The event took place at the Fray Pedro de Gante Theater , located in the San Francisco del Coecillo Garden . Musical groups from Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, the State of Mexico, Zacatecas, Saltillo , some from Guanajuato , and the most renowned from León performed on stage.

The opening act was led by Paulina Beltrán , who performed her hits and wore a spectacular yellow dress, giving way to the groups of the largest rondallero festival in Bajío. This year's event paid tribute to singer Leo Dan .

On Saturday, the groups Youth, Harmony and Goodness (Zacatecas) ; San Juan de Tlayacapan ; Linyera ; Diamante del Amor ; Romantic Generation ; Cortazarenses Voices ; Romantic from Jaral ; Romantic Souls ; and Regional Love and Nostalgia from Saltillo performed.

They all played music for hearts in love. The same melodies were heard on various occasions, including those by José Alfredo Jiménez and Álvaro Carrillo .

Hits by the honoree Leo Dan, “The Lion of the Pampas,” who also composed sacred music, were also performed.

To ensure that more people could enjoy the festival, organizers led by Juan Pablo Hernández hosted a live YouTube broadcast, which was well received.

The first two rondallas were Corazón de Contreras and Voces Nocturnas , which were applauded by the audience.

The Rondalla de Zacatecas performed “You Will Never Stop Me”, “This Time I Cried”, “Taste of Me” (Álvaro Carrillo), “Even If It’s Not With Me”, “You Are My Everything”, “Night of the Round” (Agustín Lara) and concluded with “Come Back to Me” .

The San Luis Potosí International Rondalla captivated the audience with songs such as " Let's Not Be Sad" (Leo Dan), "A Chameleon," "I Need to Know," "A Reason," "She," and more, all at the audience's request. The band also featured arranger Salomón Hernández , formerly of Los Tres Ases .

The female presence came with Dinastía Luz y Amor , originally from Fresnillo , who performed “El Rey” (José Alfredo Jiménez) , “Cuando un Amor se Va” and other songs acclaimed by the public, especially in the solo voices.

Saro Buenaventura performed a series of romantic songs that enlivened the audience, while the Romanza group from the Autonomous University of Querétaro excelled with its repertoire.

The Rondalla Estudiantina Colonial stood out by performing more lively pieces such as “ Romanza de León” and “Guitarra y Capa”.

Closing with the rondallas of León

The Rondalla de Santo Domingo , with more than four decades of experience, performed “Cómo te Extraño” (Leo Dan) , “Quizás” and other hits, closing with “Murió la Flor” .

The Romanza de León , made up mostly of young people, received a standing ovation when they performed “Malagueña Salerosa”, “La Mochila Azul” (Pedrito Fernández) and “Jesús es mi Pastor” (Leo Dan) .

The closing act was led by the León rondallas: Rondalla del Amor , with "Un Motivo" and other hits, and the host Rondalla Auténtica de León , led by Juan Pablo Hernández . All received recognition.
