Concerts in Bogotá this Sunday: road closures and arrival and departure recommendations

This Sunday, August 24, Bogotá becomes the cultural epicenter of various entertainment events, both musical and performances of various kinds. Therefore, the District Mobility Secretariat (SDM) authorized various traffic management plans that include closures, detours, and roadside personnel.

Green Day at Vive Claro

This Sunday evening, Green Day will perform at the Vive Claro stage, located on La Esmeralda Avenue, very close to Simón Bolívar Park, where Hip Hop al Parque will be held.

In addition to those established for this last event, between noon on August 24 and 2:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, the following closures will be implemented:

— Carrera 66A, in both its lanes, between Calle 26 and Calle 53.— One lane of the southbound lane of Calle 53, between Carreras 66A and 60, including the southbound pedestrian path.— One lane of the westbound lane of Carrera 60, between Calles 53 and 42.

— The event organizer will guarantee access to Carrera 66A, between Calle 26 and Calle 53, for residents, emergency vehicles, and TransMiZonales . For other vehicles, it is suggested to take alternate routes such as Carrera 67A or Carrera 60. TransMilenio and SITP routes for the Green Day concert

To reach Vivie Claro, TransMilenio routes run along Carrera 68, Calle 53, Calle 26, Avenida NQS, and access to the Salitre El Greco and CAN British Council stations (via the El Dorado trunk line). Hip Hop in the Park

Simón Bolívar Park will host a new edition of Hip Hop al Parque. As is customary for large-scale events held in the park, both lanes of 63rd Street and the bike path on the southbound lane, between 60th and 68th Streets, will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. starting Saturday and Sunday. Therefore, the Ministry of Mobility recommends using alternate routes such as 26th Street or 53rd Street to go west, and 26th Street or 68th Street to go east.

The world of Fede Vigevani at the Movistar Arena

The Movistar Arena will close its events this weekend with The World of Fede Vigevani. For this event, Diagonal 61C, between Carrera 28 and Calle 57A , will be open to facilitate access to the plaza, without affecting the mobility of those continuing their journey east.
