From which states in the United States do Mexicans send the most remittances?

Remittances sent by Mexicans from the United States are part of the national economy. But where do most of them come from?
Remittances are fallingDuring 2024, Mexican migrant workers sent 16.7% of their labor income as remittances to their families in Mexico , highlighted the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA).
This represented a decrease compared to the 17.9% reported in 2023 and a halt to the upward trend recorded over the last four years .

He noted that such evolution reflected that in 2024 the slowdown in Mexico's income from remittances from that country was accentuated , going from a growth of 25.2% in 2021 to 12.8% in 2022; from 8.1% in 2023 to 3.8% in the first half of 2024 and 1.6% in the second.
He even highlighted that the percentage of labor income sent as remittances is slightly biased upwards by the remittances received in Mexico, but whose beneficiaries are migrants in transit from other countries .

Ortega.
How much was raised?He said that last year Mexico received 64,745 million dollars in remittances, of which 62,529 came from the United States, that is, 96.6% of the total .
These flows represented 3.38 percentage points of Mexico's gross domestic product (GDP) .

This means that these workers sent 16.7% of their labor income as money transfers to their country of origin .
Where do they come from?Other data shown in the CEMLA report is that 51% of the total wages of Mexican immigrant workers were earned in California and Texas .
