Man who murdered his brother with hammer blows in Mallorca is released from prison

A 43-year-old man accused of murdering his brother with hammer blows in Mallorca has been released without bail after spending 15 days in preventive detention in Palma. The judge has not detected a risk of flight due to the detainee's strong ties to the town where he lives. This is clear from information published by Última Hora .
The events occurred on Sunday 9 February at 2:40 pm at the home where the victim lived with his mother, on Calle Gran de Sa Pobla. The accused went to the place to visit his mother and asked her if she had gone shopping with the money he had left her the day before. The mother explained that the accused's brother, who was 54 years old, had taken it from her again.
Precautionary measures The judge has ordered the withdrawal of the accused's passport, prohibiting him from leaving Spain.After speaking to his mother, the accused went to look for his brother and argued with him, reproaching him for having stolen the money. He also reproached him for having welcomed two drug addict friends into the house where his mother also lives.
At that moment, the victim reacted aggressively and threw the lid of a pressure cooker at the accused, although he managed to avoid it. After this attempted attack, the defendant went to the paint company he owns, which is located a few metres from the house, and took a hammer with which he attacked the victim, who was seriously injured.
