The National Teachers' Benefits Fund begins paying the 14th monthly payment to more than 247,000 retired teachers.

The National Teachers' Social Benefits Fund (FOMAG) began paying June payroll and the 14th pension to 247,097 retired teachers across the country this Tuesday , for a total of 1.5 billion pesos.

This additional monthly payment benefits teachers who meet the requirements established by law. “We are honoring our retired teachers. The timely and early payment of the 14th monthly payment is recognition of the value of their work and commitment to the country's education ,” stated Aldo Cadena, vice president of Fomag.
In addition, the fund highlighted progress in the processing of economic benefits , thanks to the administrative strengthening process and the regionalization of the Economic Benefits Directorate.
With these actions, the number of applications processed increased from 380 to 2,100 per month, representing an improvement of more than 450 percent in service capacity, according to Fomag.

"We're ensuring that benefits are not only recognized more quickly, but also closer to the territories. This is a key step toward more efficient and humane management ," Cadena added.
Health coverage in Bogotá and Cundinamarca In addition to this announcement, on June 20, the fund held two outreach sessions with teachers in Bogotá and Cundinamarca to present the progress of the new health model , address concerns, and receive suggestions for improvements.
The roundtables were held in coordination with the ADE (Bogota) and ADEC (Cundinamarca), and included the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Education, Fiduprevisora, and the unions.

During the meetings , the providers approved in Phase I of the call were presented , which are part of the network that will serve teachers and their families at the primary care level.
"This is a participatory and transparent exercise. We want teachers to be key players in the healthcare model ," said Andrés Escarria, Health Services Manager at Fiduprevisora.
According to official figures, in Bogotá, the number of providers almost doubled, going from 96 in 2024 to 190 in 2025 (a 98 percent increase). The number of locations increased from 105 to 378, representing a 260 percent increase. Territorial coverage remains at 100 percent in the district's six municipalities. Although the number of users decreased slightly (-0.5 percent), it remains stable, with more than 96,000 teachers and their families served.
"From Fiduprevisora and Fomag, under the leadership of Vice President Aldo Cadena, we are working to ensure that the country's teachers have access to the decent, quality healthcare they earned through union struggle and Agreement 003," Escarria concluded.
