After Kicillof's challenge, Cristina heads the first formal meeting as president of the PJ

In the midst of the internal discussion with Axel Kicillof over the launch of his Right to the Future movement, and after the suspension of the national PASO that will impact the electoral strategy of Peronism and the Buenos Aires calendar, Cristina Kirchner met with the PJ National Council at the historic headquarters on Matheu Street.
The first formal meeting with the former president as head of the party started after 7 p.m., minutes after her arrival, that of the vice presidents José Mayans, Germán Martínez, Lucía Corpacci, Ricardo Pignanelli and Mariel Fernández, and a good part of the 75 councilors. They all answer to the head of the PJ and none to Kicillof , who did not propose or give him places during the dispute with Ricardo Quintela, which ultimately did not materialize due to the lack of endorsements from the list of the governor of La Rioja.
The meeting's call included the nomination of party secretaries and the discussion of the formation of a political action committee, as well as organizational issues related to membership and fundraising.
The agenda also included the complicated situation of Peronism in Jujuy and Corrientes , with judicial internal disputes. Among the attendees were the intervenors Gustavo Menéndez and Aníbal Fernández in the first case, and Teresa García and Máximo Rodríguez in Corrientes.
Cristina chaired the PJ council meeting.
The meeting was marked by the presentation of the Right to the Future movement, a new demonstration of Kicillof's autonomy that increased the noise in the relationship with Cristina Kirchner. Beforehand, the leaders sought to downplay the governor's move, considering it a local setup and questioning him for "provincializing" the electoral strategy.
“ The meeting is to discuss how to organize national Peronism with volume to confront the Government's model. It is not from a province ,” said Teresa García, although like the majority she did not close the possibilities of an agreement: “Unity is never irreversible in Peronism.”

“Predictable, but lacking timing. The focus of the debate was elsewhere,” said Agustín Rossi at the time of the announcement, a few days after the scandal broke out in the Government over the memecoin $Libra promoted by Javier Milei.
Mayors Mayra Mendoza, Federico Otermín and Ariel Sujarchuk, senators Wado de Pedro and Juan Manzur, deputies Paula Penacca, Vanesa Siley and Agustina Propatto, and leaders Julián Domínguez, Felipe Solá and José Ottavis, among other party advisors, also arrived at the headquarters on Matheu Street.
