Silent March | Miguel Uribe's father, from the Santa Fe Foundation: 'My son, I admire you with all my might'

- Miguel Uribe's father reads a message outside the Santa Fe Foundation.
Miguel Uribe Londoño, the senator's father, addressed those participating in a vigil outside the medical center. He stated that he speaks not only as a father, but as a fellow Colombian.
"Thirty-four years ago, the war took my wife, Diana Turbay. I had to tell our son, who was barely four years old, that his mother had been murdered. Three decades later, the violence has returned, and Miguel Uribe is fighting for his life," he says.
"Miguel, my son, I admire you with all my might." He added that the senator has a single goal for Colombia: "A safe country free from violence."
In his speech, Uribe Londoño called for peace for all Colombians and said his son's struggle is more relevant than ever. "This struggle must be for all the victims who mourn their families, for all of us who want to live in a more peaceful country."
