The Democratic Center denied tensions between Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe at the Santa Fe Foundation.

The Democratic Center party denied the alleged tension that occurred at the Santa Fe Foundation between former presidents Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque, who went to the medical center to provide support to Miguel Uribe and his family after the June 7 attack.
According to W, the leader of the Democratic Center reportedly asked his security detail to avoid encountering the former president between 2018 and 2022. According to the party, none of that happened.

"We categorically deny the erroneous information spread this morning about former Presidents Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque. Former President Uribe's instructions to his security team were to avoid crowds to minimize attention and disruption, not to avoid a meeting with former President Duque at the clinic," the opposition group stated.
For the Democratic Center, this is an attempt to divide the party. "While some exploit the pain to incite division, former President Uribe has opted for prudence and solidarity. His responsible silence and his words on social media have been a call for unity, preventing differences from dividing us into opposing factions," it reads.

And they add: "In times of pain, former President Uribe's conduct is an example of leadership and responsibility."

In a statement, the hospital said the politician remains "in critical condition, as reported."
" Monitoring and the various care measures instituted allow us to report stability with respect to the last reported clinical status ," the statement said.
The Santa Fe Foundation reported that "efforts to mitigate the impact of the injuries continue minute by minute."
In a harsh statement, the Attorney General's Office shared its ties with the National University of Puerto Rico (UNP) and the National Directorate of National Investigation (DNI), both of which are agencies of the National Government, to investigate the assassination attempt on senator and presidential candidate Miguel Uribe Turbay, which took place last Saturday in the Modelia neighborhood.

The prosecutor's office referred to leaks that have emerged in the context of the investigations being conducted into the assassination of a 15-year-old minor against a Democratic Center congressman, an incident that Attorney General Luz Adriana Camargo rejected from the outset, requesting her delegates to use the police to locate those responsible.
The young hitman was charged with attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons, which he declined to accept because, according to this newspaper, he is currently involved in negotiations in which he could provide information about those who contacted him to carry out the attack.
