A Venezuelan and a Colombian man arrested for the murder of a woman in Tarímbaro, Michoacán


MORELIA, Mich., (apro) .- Officers from the Michoacán State Attorney General's Office (FGE) arrested two men of South American origin for their alleged responsibility in the murder of a woman, a merchant by trade, in the municipality of Tarímbaro.
According to the law enforcement agency, the arrests were made pursuant to separate arrest warrants issued by a supervisory judge against Alfredo "N," of Venezuelan origin, and Fredy "N," of Colombian nationality.
According to the evidence obtained as a result of the initial investigation, on May 28, Blanca Estela A. was inside her home, used as a commercial establishment, located on the Morelia-Salamanca highway, when at approximately 10:15 p.m. armed men entered the premises and shot her, causing her death.
After committing the crime, the alleged perpetrators escaped in a cherry-colored Toyota Rav-4 pickup truck.
During the investigation, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Femicides gathered evidence of the probable involvement of Alfredo "N" and Fredy "N" in the events, leading to the request for arrest warrants, which were subsequently issued by the judicial authorities.
Investigative Police personnel arrested the defendants, who were taken to the "Lic. David Franco Rodríguez" Penitentiary Center, where a judge will determine their legal status.
The Attorney General's Office asserted that there will be no impunity in this case and reaffirmed its commitment to investigate and prosecute any act that threatens the integrity of Michoacan women.
