Activate temporary messages on WhatsApp and protect your privacy

Temporary messages, also known as ephemeral messages, are a tool that helps keep your chats more private. When activated, texts automatically disappear after a period of time you can choose: 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days.
This option is ideal if you don't want your conversations to be saved in your history for long periods of time or if you prefer that no one else have access to them. It's important to note that it only applies to messages sent after activation; previous messages will not be affected.
Activating this feature is very simple. Just follow these instructions:
- Open the app and go to Settings .
- Go to the Privacy section.
- Select Default Duration .
- Choose the time period in which you want the messages to disappear (24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days).
- If you want to apply it to specific chats, go to the chat, tap the contact or group name, select Pop-up Messages , and turn it on.
If you decide to disable this feature, simply return to the same menu and select the standard messaging option.
This way, WhatsApp allows you to control how long your conversations remain visible, adding an extra level of security and privacy to your daily communications.
