Artificial Intelligence will soon surpass human intelligence: expert

Artificial intelligence (AI) will soon surpass human intelligence, creating a situation where for the first time in history, humanity will face an alternative intelligence capable of competing with humans, Australian techno-finance and new technologies expert Brett King declared last Thursday.

According to the author of the Breaking Banks podcast, AI could be the most powerful destructive force for human civilization and our economic systems.

"AI is a radical turning point and is transforming our way of life," the expert told EFE on the sidelines of the "Astana Finance Days" financial forum in Kazakhstan.

King believes that another factor that could have a social impact comparable to that of AI "is perhaps climate change."

"However, AI will change society in ways we can't even imagine today, and it's doing so much faster than we expected," he insisted.

At the same time, he did not rule out the possibility that AI management could make it a tool at the disposal of humans rather than a challenge to humanity.

"Given the role that artificial intelligence will play and the challenge posed by climate change, we [humanity] must develop a certain mechanism that allows us to manage the world through consensus," which will avoid major conflicts and unite countries, he summarized.
