Artificial Intelligence: The challenge that could surpass the human mind

New technology specialist and author of the Breaking Banks podcast, Brett King, asserted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is very close to surpassing human capabilities. He said this represents a radical change in history, as humanity will face for the first time an alternative intelligence capable of competing with humans.
During his participation in the Astana Finance Days financial forum in Kazakhstan, King explained that AI could become the most destructive force for civilization and current economic systems. However, he emphasized that its impact depends on how it is used and the regulations applied globally.
The expert believes that AI is not only changing the way we work, but also the way we understand everyday life. For King, this advancement is not a distant phenomenon, but rather a transformation that is already occurring at a much faster rate than expected.
Although he warned of the risks, King also acknowledged that AI can become a powerful tool if managed responsibly. In that sense, he noted that the great challenge lies in finding international consensus mechanisms that allow for its regulation.
He also compared the relevance of AI to that of climate change, believing that both phenomena mark the course of humanity's future. However, he emphasized that artificial intelligence will transform society in ways we cannot yet imagine.
The specialist concluded that the challenge is not to halt technological advancement, but to learn how to manage it to avoid conflicts and ensure that the benefits are distributed equitably around the world.
