New leaks reveal surprising changes in the upcoming iPhone 17

In September, we'll be introduced to the new iPhone 17s , and as the date approaches, more and more information continues to emerge. Beyond everything we know about these new devices , new developments continue to be revealed regarding the Cupertino company's upcoming phones. Specifically, regarding the Pro and Max models , whose leaks reveal new features in the camera and internal components.
Significant improvement of the telephoto lensOne of the most popular leaks has to do with a significant improvement in the iPhone 17 Pro Max's telephoto camera . As reported by Instant Digital through the Chinese social network Weibo and collected from MacRumors , Apple would be preparing a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 8x optical zoom. In fact, they claim that it will be possible to switch between 5x and 8x optical zoom, without tricks like cropping the sensor.
It is true that it is not clear whether it will be exclusive to the 17 Pro Max model or also for the 17 Pro, but it would be an important difference compared to the current iPhone 16 Pro, which has a fixed 12-megapixel telephoto lens and 5x zoom.
The SIM card slot would be retained in the iPhone 17 Pro.The other leak has to do with some images in which you can see that the iPhone 17 Pro would keep the SIM card slot in some countries, despite the fact that in the United States it has already been installed exclusively by the eSIM since the iPhone 14. According to the well-known leaker Majin Bu , Apple would be adapting the design according to the markets , since the photographs show the supposed tray of different internal battery configurations.
Added to all this, it appears the 17 Pro Max will retain a similar thermal management system to the 16 Pro , with a metal battery cover and a larger camera module. We shouldn't have to wait too long to find out how true these leaks are, as the new iPhone family is expected to arrive in September.
