Sheinbaum's mother is one of the best scientists in the world

President Sheinbaum's mother was recognized as one of the world's top scientists by Research.com's 2025 ranking. Dr. Annie Pardo Cemo was also named the top scientist in molecular biology.

This placed him on the list of the best scientists in the world with position 1163. In the fourth edition of this ranking, combined data from OpenAlex and CrossRef were taken into account and it is based on the D index, that is, considering only articles from the evaluated discipline .

For its part, the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) congratulated the professor, " UNAM congratulates Dr. Annie Pardo Cemo , professor emeritus of the Faculty of Sciences for having been recognized as number 1 in molecular biology in Mexico , in the ranking of the best scientists in the world 2025 by Research.com," it wrote.

Dr. Annie Pardo is a professor emeritus of the Department of Cell Biology at the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM . She is also the winner of the 2022 National Science Award in the field of Physical, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. She has over 50 years of academic experience at the highest institution.

It is worth noting that she is also the mother of the President of Mexico , Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo .
