The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office does not know who Valeria Márquez's ex-partner is.

GUADALAJARA, Jalisco (apro).- The inner circle of influencer Valeria Márquez, who was murdered while broadcasting live, is being investigated. This includes friends, family members, and people who lived with the young woman, including her collaborators at the beauty salon where the crime occurred, said the head of the Jalisco State Attorney General's Office, Salvador González de los Santos.
"Of course, an investigation is underway, or rather, everyone associated with this girl is being interviewed, be they friends, relatives, acquaintances, or boyfriends; trying to identify lines of inquiry is part of any investigation. Of course, well, in this case, friends and relatives, who are the closest to the victim, are included in order to determine some lines of inquiry," he noted.
The state official acknowledged that Valeria's friend, Vivian, one of the last people to contact her, has yet to testify. He ruled out the possibility that she is currently unreachable: "She is reachable; she hasn't left, but her interview is certainly important to see what she can tell us."
During a press conference held at the Government Palace, González de los Santos acknowledged that they still don't know who Valeria's ex-partner is, whom she blamed for what might happen to her. He also acknowledged that there is currently no clear evidence linking Márquez's ex-partner to the crime, despite mentions of possible threats and threats against her on social media. The official insisted that no formal charges have yet been filed against anyone.
"We have not yet identified or located the ex-partner mentioned in the media. We are investigating not only the ex-partner, but also his entire entourage. The possibility that the ex-partner was the mastermind has certainly been raised on social media. However, these are part of our ongoing lines of investigation because, assuming without conceding that it could have been him, it must be credited, not just assumed."

Salvador González reported that they continue to review all possible circumstances surrounding the victim to determine the motives and those responsible for the murder, both material and intellectual.
He stated that no specific suspects have yet been identified or arrested in this femicide. The prosecutor reiterated that the investigation encompasses the victim's entire circle and that all hypotheses remain open, with no leads yet ruled out.
C5 cameras did not capture the crimeFor his part, Juan Carlos Contreras Vargas, director of the C5 in Jalisco, revealed that the system's cameras did not capture the events, and although some recordings in public spaces are being reviewed, cameras in nearby and private businesses have not yet been authorized for analysis. This complicates the identification of the perpetrator(s) at the scene.
"We didn't have access to the recordings in either case (the influencer's and the former PRI representative's), as they occurred inside commercial establishments in the urban area, where we don't have access to internal cameras. Are the C5 cameras installed in this area of the city or not? In this specific location, the closest cameras are a few meters away, but they don't offer a view of the plaza or the commercial establishment," he replied.
Salvador González took the opportunity to announce that the local government will tender and award more than 500 monitoring points in different municipalities. He added that the technology in the C5 system will be updated to improve report reception and surveillance in strategic areas.
Reviewing surveillance cameras is crucial to obtaining the evidence necessary to determine whether the act was impulsive or planned by a mastermind.
"May God protect us," says Valeria's aunt.Meanwhile, Valeria Márquez's family insists that the investigation be intensified and that statements be taken from those who were with her in her final moments to clarify the circumstances of the crime.
“I prayed a lot for her, such a loss, but that God protect us, because nothing will happen to her now, but to us. I prayed at Mass, I offered my Eucharist for those people who don't have that heart of flesh, but a heart of stone, and that the Blessed Virgin penetrate their hearts with her grace and give them repentance so that they stop and never again have that cold-bloodedness to kill. I mean, you defend a dog more than a person. You don't kill a dog because you'll be put in jail; you kill a person and it goes unpunished, I mean, it's not fair. But hey, in the end, it's the world, right? And you have to pray; with the power of God, everything is possible,” said María, Valeria's aunt.
