Concern among Racing fans in Brazil: two were shot in an attempted robbery on a beach in Rio de Janeiro, 200 meters from the team's hotel

A new episode of violence with Argentine fans in Brazil became news this Wednesday . It concerns two men who were Racing fans and were shot on one of the beaches of Rio de Janeiro , about 200 meters from the hotel where the delegation of the 'Academia' is staying, before the return match of the Recopa Sudamericana against Botafogo , in which they have a 2-0 advantage.

According to reports, the attackers tried to assault these two men, aged between 30 and 40, whose identity is still unknown, and when they resisted, they pulled out a gun and shot them, despite the fact that there was a good crowd in the late afternoon. One of them, allegedly shot in the waist, is in a more serious condition: he was evacuated by helicopter to a hospital in the city of Rio, while the other was taken by ambulance.

Clarín contacted the Consulate General of the Argentine Republic in Rio de Janeiro, headed by Ana Emilia Sarrabayrouse , and confirmed that they are aware of the situation, although they commented that at the moment they cannot give further details about what happened.
