Daniel Muñoz, brilliant in a Crystal Palace that ran over Aston Villa, video

Daniel Muñoz had a good game this Tuesday with Crystal Palace, who achieved an important 4-1 victory against Aston Villa on Tuesday, in the 27th round of the Premier League.

Aston Villa failed to capitalise on their big weekend win over Chelsea and suffered a painful defeat that has kept them out of the European spots for now.

With Marco Asensio, who scored a double against Chelsea, and Marcus Rashford as substitutes, Villa were unable to overcome a Palace side that made it 1-0 after half an hour of play thanks to Ismaila Sarr.

Villa thought they had equalised before the break, but Morgan Rodgers' goal was ruled out for Ollie Watkins being offside in the build-up to the play.

Already in the second half and under the watchful eye of England coach Thomas Tuchel, Rodgers did score his goal, this time without doubt, for a draw that lasted barely seven minutes.

Villa also had to replace 'Dibu' Martínez due to injury. Jean-Philippe Mateta, with a great volley, Sarr and Eddie Nketiah, who scored his first goal in this Premier League with Palace, sentenced a Villa side that has won one of its last four games and, with 42 points, is two away from the Conference League and four away from the Champions League.

Crystal Palace's third goal was directly contributed to by Daniel Muñoz, who crossed for Ismaila Sarr to score and increase his team's lead.

It was Muñoz's fourth assist of the season in 26 Premier League games. The Amalfi-born full-back has also provided three goals this campaign.

Oliver Glasner's Palace are almost certain to stay up and are 12th on 36 points, 19 clear of the relegation zone.
