Vitoria de Guimaraes draws 1-1 away from home against Porto

The 23rd round of the Primeira Liga was completed with the match between Porto and Vitoria de Guimaraes that ended with a 1-1 result. The team coached by Luís Freire will be Betis ' next opponent in the round of 16 of the Conference League . The first leg of the tie is scheduled at the Benito Villamarín stadium next Thursday, March 6 at 18:45.

The Portuguese league match pitted third-placed Porto against eighth-placed Vitoria de Guimaraes, the green-and-whites' next opponent in continental competition. During the match, a goal was disallowed for the team coached by Luís Freire after a consultation with the VAR.

The goals of the match came in the second half. In the 67th minute, Fábio Vieira put Porto ahead, but with just four minutes remaining in the 90th minute, it was forward Umaro Embaló who equalised.

Before facing Betis in the round of 16 of the Conference League, the team coached by Luís Freire will face the 24th round of the Primeira Liga next Saturday with a match against Casa Pia. Vitoria de Guimaraes has not won in the Portuguese championship since 1 February when it beat AVS 2-0.
