While work is underway in several parts of Bogotá on the metro system that will operate in the capital, a tragic incident occurred in one part of the city, where authorities found the body of a person who had been murdered by four individuals. What happened?
According to information published by the El Tiempo news site, this incident occurred last weekend in the town of Kennedy, where police officers reported that four men illegally entered an area where infrastructure work was being carried out. The identity of the deceased has been determined, and investigations into the whereabouts of the perpetrators continue. The suspects allegedly fled at the scene after being discovered by a neighbor who attempted to stop them.

"We met with executives from the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finalize the financing for the second phase of Line 1 of the Bogotá Metro, a line that is going very well; you have seen it, and it is 62% complete," he said.

According to official information, the percentage cutoff date for completion by August 31, 2025, indicated that 62.12% of all construction work had been completed.
