A five-year-old child died on Monday February 24 in Vallet (Loire-Atlantique) after being hit by a school bus, BFMTV learned from the police.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the child was riding a scooter when he was hit around 5:40 p.m. On site, emergency services were unable to resuscitate him. Drug and alcohol tests carried out on the driver were negative. The Laroux-Bottereau research brigade is in charge of the investigation.
According to Ouest-France , a psychological unit was set up by the Vallet town hall and around thirty people, mainly relatives of the deceased child, were welcomed there.
