Until April 18, the shuttle will no longer run between Part-Dieu and Vaulx-en-Velin La-Soie. Replacement buses will be set up between the two stations with a frequency of 10 to 15 minutes. Once at La Soie, the classic shuttle will take over to the airport. The stop located in Vaulx-en-Velin is also accessible via metro line A. Please note that the Rhônexpress will not run in the evening from March 3 to 5, from March 10 to 12, from March 17 to 19, March 24, 26 and 27, from March 31 to April 3, and April 7 and 8. Replacement buses between the airport and La Soie station are planned (frequencies of 15 min between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. and 30 min between 9 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Last direct journey Airport > Part-Dieu).
The service will then be completely interrupted between April 18 and May 9, with replacement buses running every 20 to 30 minutes from Part-Dieu to the airport and every 30 minutes from La Soie to the airport.
During both periods, it is strongly recommended to anticipate your trip to the airport. Price-wise, it will remain unchanged (29.8 euros round trip) despite the deterioration in service. The Rhônexpress is one of the most expensive airport shuttles in Europe.
Despite the end of the Vinci contract - which prohibited any competition - under the former majority in the Lyon metropolitan area, the shuttle prices have not dropped since. However, a bus alternative has been created by the green majority. It allows, thanks to a classic transport ticket (2.1 euros), to reach Saint-Exupéry in 40 minutes from the Meyzieu ZI station located 30 minutes by tram T3 from the Part-Dieu station.
