Trial requested against lyricist to the stars Yohann Malory for sexual violence with chemical submission

The singer-songwriter, who has collaborated with Johnny Hallyday, M. Pokora and Louane, is suspected, between 2016 and 2019, of having raped two women and sexually assaulted two others after administering substances to them without their knowledge.
The Paris prosecutor's office has requested a trial for rape and sexual assault with chemical submission on four women against Yohann Malory, a renowned lyricist for singers, we learned on Monday from a source close to the case, confirming information from Le Parisien .
Yohann Malory , Yohann Michel in civil status, aged 40 and born in Madagascar, is suspected of having raped two women and sexually assaulted two others after having administered harmful substances to them without their knowledge between 2016 and 2019, according to the final indictment of which AFP has had knowledge. A dismissal was however requested concerning a fifth complainant, who denounced a rape under chemical submission in 2015.
"Many elements collected during the judicial investigation have already contradicted some of the accusations," considered one of his lawyers, Me Antoine Vey, stressing that "two complaints had been disqualified" and denouncing "a climate of lynching, foreign to justice."
It is now up to the investigating judge to decide whether or not to hold a trial before the departmental criminal court. For Me Yassine Bouzrou, lawyer for three of the five plaintiffs, the investigations have on the contrary "made it possible to confirm the accusations made by several plaintiffs and a criminal court will now have to rule on these particularly serious facts" .
The singer-songwriter, who has collaborated with Johnny Hallyday, M. Pokora and Louane, has contested the accusations and denounced "a conspiracy". However, he admitted during his police custody in March 2021 to having poured MDMA into the glass of one of the women. In her indictment, the prosecutor noted "a similar modus operandi for all the complainants" and ruled out "the hypothesis of a conspiracy" .
"All five describe identical circumstances, namely having felt the same symptoms during a festive evening that appeared suddenly (nausea, dizziness, hot flushes, vague memories) even though they had not consumed any narcotics and had mostly consumed little alcohol," she explains.
"Yohann Michel's desire to override the complainants' consent is characterised by the modus operandi he used to achieve his ends, namely drugging them without their knowledge to remove any ability to oppose (in actions or words), to flee or to remember the facts," the magistrate continued. A preliminary investigation had been opened to examine the complaints filed from November 2019. Yohann Malory was indicted in March 2021.
