Four people in custody after a fatal brawl in Albi

Four people were taken into custody after the death of a man on Sunday morning during an altercation in a nightclub in Albi, the public prosecutor's office announced in a statement.

The dispute erupted around 3:30 a.m. and continued outside the nightclub, where the victim received at least one machete blow, according to a police source. "The victim has at least two stab wounds," the prosecutor's office said.

The investigation, initially opened on the charge of homicide, led to the arrest and custody of four people aged 18 to 38 who "participated in the fatal brawl," the statement said. "An autopsy will be conducted in the coming days," it added.
