Dressed in his finest suit and wearing a white beret, the man who prefers to keep his age a secret finally appears... Flip-flops on his feet. "I haven't had time to put on new shoes," laments the old man, who is often late. This week, he has to relearn community life. And on-time departures. Like eleven other seniors from Nantes, he is enjoying a stay adapted to his income, at the Little Brothers of the Poor holiday home in Jully-lès-Buxy. "The person who pays the most must be at 25 euros per day, all inclusive, accommodation and food," calculates Daniel Auger, the head of the Loire team. "The goal is to allow isolated elderly people to go on vacation like ordinary people."
According to the association's website , two million elderly people suffer from loneliness and 530,000 are "in a state of social death, deprived of connections and pleasures...
