Miki, pop madness

All summer long, we've been exploring the new landscape of popular music in France. Today, we explore the whimsy and boldness of an increasingly free artist, somewhere between confessional and hyperpop.

It's hard to sum up Miki. So this verse in the song Scorpio ascendant Scorpio, where she says that her mother vomited when she gave her hallucinogenic mushrooms, is quite symbolic: the main subject of Miki's songs is Miki's life, without much modesty - and even preferably with a lot of immodesty.
And since the release of her EP Graou – that's the title Graou – at the beginning of 2025, she has received more than glowing reviews: she's a sort of electro Brigitte Fontaine, a sort of trashy Zaho de Sagazan, a sort of feminist Booba (yes, I know... conceptually, you have to make an effort of imagination).
In fact, she has a particularly sharp, frank, and inventive style—with a strong propensity for combative self-deprecation. When she doesn't spare herself, it's to better shoot those around her. Anthology.
