The ephemeris of August 2: in 1992, the death of singer Michel Berger

Author and composer Michel Berger dies at the age of 44 from a heart attack. He was responsible for numerous hits for Françoise Hardy, France Gall, and Johnny Hallyday. He is also the composer of "Starmania," a successful rock opera, helmed by his friend, the famous Daniel Balavoine.
On stage, Michel Berger shares the spotlight with his partner and wife France Gall. The lovers met in 1974, in the offices of Europe 1 radio. The singer of the song "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" then shared his life with Julien Clerc, while the composer had just separated from Véronique Sanson, for whom he had composed "Being in Need of a Person". From a bolt of lightning, one of the most iconic couples in French song was born. Michel began to write their romance, France sang it, and the melodies became hits: "Évidemment", "Débranche", "La Déclaration d'amour"...
