The ephemeris of July 29: in 1890, the disappearance of Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent van Gogh is considered one of the legendary figures in art history. Often reduced to the image of a tortured artist, he is, stylistically, a key figure in Post-Impressionism, alongside his colleague Paul Gauguin.

His innovative approach to painting, characterized by a vibrant color palette, made him a pioneer of Fauvism and Expressionism. Van Gogh, who died at the age of 37, was a tireless artist who produced over 800 paintings in his entire oeuvre. His masterpieces, such as "Sunflowers" (1888) and "Starry Night" (1889), bear witness to his inner turmoil.
