The T'choup Comedy Club is taking over the Roman Theatre in Fréjus for an XXL stand-up evening: here's everything you need to know!

This is unprecedented for a comedy club, whose artists generally perform on small stages: on July 12, the T'choup Comedy club will take over the stage of the Roman Theater in Fréjus. A thousand spectators, "the biggest date we've ever done, and at home no less," savors Maxime Riou. The Fréjus native, now based in the Alpes-Maritimes, is behind the creation of this traveling stand-up troupe with variable geometry. That was in 2022 and, since then, the T'choup has continued to make its mark in the region.

After the Villa Aurélienne last September, a sold-out date in front of 350 spectators, "we wanted to aim a little higher with the City," adds Maxime Riou. "For us, it's an apotheosis, the craziest and most ambitious thing we've ever done."

Playing on the codes of stand-up

On stage, six comedians from all over France. What do they have in common? They have all already been heard on RTL 2, Rires et Chansons, and/or have appeared on TV sets, notably on France 2, and have already graced the stage of the T'choup Comedy Club... In July, for this exceptional date, they are determined to play with the codes of stand-up and " those of the Roman Empire," smiles Maxime Riou .

We will therefore find Greg Petras , better known as Greg interdite. The Marseille native, a former firefighter, who has 72,000 subscribers on social networks, started about ten years ago and revealed himself to the general public through his videos on the Internet. His sing-song accent takes nothing away from his biting humor and savors the moments of improvisation.

In his wake, Jonathan O'Donnell , comedian but also columnist and radio host on RTL 2. This multi-talented artist from Oise has 68,000 followers on Instagram, loves to interact with the public and will undoubtedly deliver some extracts from his latest show.

Bright and full of energy, Sandra Miso will also share her slice of laughter, just like Julien Vinh (56,000 followers on Insta) who is also not lacking in repartee. Finally, Dudley is a regular at Garage Comedy in Marseille. It's no surprise to see him on stage at the T'choup Comedy Club on July 12. And finally, another local, Ameziane , who has already been seen opening for various artists and whose fame is only growing.
