Thomas Dutronc and Angélique Kidjo this summer at the Nocturnes de la Villa in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

This summer again, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, are offering seven weeks of shows, on Mondays and Tuesdays, with various artists for Les Nocturnes de la Villa.
First, enjoy an early evening stroll, enjoying a picnic on the lawns of its French garden with the packed lunches prepared by Aude Roméro, the chef of the Béatrice restaurant – no more dinners at this place during Les Nocturnes, however, make way for "Dinners under the stars" (July 24 and August 21) under the leadership of Joël Robuchon. During these evenings, the director of the Nice Observatory will come and tell the story of the sky to the gastronomes who have booked.
It will also be an opportunity to discover the finest pieces from the collection of Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild, who had the villa built. Before settling in for the show... Because the music will still be resonating on the heights of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
Thomas Dutronc and Angélique KidjoLike the stroll through the nine gardens of the villa transporting from one atmosphere to another, the program offers a passage from jazz, with David Enhco and Marc Perrenoud for Chet Baker, to classical, with Laurent Petitgirard and the Cannes National Orchestra. From trumpet (Romain Leleu in sextet) to guitar (with Thibault Cauvin, Pierre Génisson and Bruno Fontaine) to opéra bouffe with The Opera Locos. From pop (Patxi Garat) to big band (David Enhco & the Amazing Keystone Big Band).
Kick-off with a special guest: Thomas Dutronc, who will open the ball on July 14 with It's Never Too Late . The "first Diva of Africa": Angélique Kidjo will also be there, as will André Manoukian and Rosemary Standley, who will hum the unforgettable melodies of French song under the starry vault. Literature will not be left out, with the diary of George Sand revealed by Marie-Christine Barrault to the music of Chopin, or with Brigitte Fossey who takes us on a journey to the heart of Flaubert's love words. As will dance, with Gaël Rougegrez and the Compagnie GR infini, whose male huis clos will awaken the marble terrace. There will also be Larsène, the great magician... In total, 14 evenings under the azure sky. Laurence LUCCHESI
