Caroline Picard, a Colmar resident, opened the bookstore "Mon Chat Pitre" (My Cat Pitre) on Tuesday, May 13, across from Les Catherinettes. The concept behind the store is very simple: books of all kinds, and cats—five, soon to be six—that roam freely between the bookcases, within easy reach of customers' petting range. A true "purr therapy" practice, the store is the first franchise of a brand in Aix-en-Provence.
