DECRYPTION - The CEO, in office since May 5, is gradually rolling out his methods throughout the company. The race for efficiency and time savings is on.

Should we see the influence of the new CEO? Since Bernard Fontana took over at the helm of EDF on May 5, an agreement on financing the new nuclear program involving six EPR 2s has been reached with the State. At the same time, two major agreements have been signed with industrialists, Aluminium Dunkerque and the Italian steelmaker Marcegaglia for its Fos site (Bouches-du-Rhône). These long-term electricity supply contracts were loudly demanded by the government. The tensions surrounding this issue also contributed to the fall of Luc Rémont , the previous CEO of the electricity company. Now, the time has come to calm relations between the group and its sole shareholder, the State, as well as between the group and its major customers.
