After Kellogg's, Ferrero is ready to eat Carambar

An insatiable appetite. Italian food giant Ferrero will acquire French company Carambar Poulain Krema (CPK), announced this Friday, July 11, the investment company Eurazeo, which owns the confectionery manufacturer. The day before, Ferrero, which owns Kinder , Nutella , and Crunch, among others, had already announced that it would swallow up American group WK Kellogg , a breakfast cereal specialist, and its flagship brands Corn Flakes, Miel Pops, and Rice Krispies. Quite a track record for the Italian.
The transaction with the French company, which is expected to be finalized during the fourth quarter of 2025, remains subject to approval by competition authorities, Eurazeo specified. By coming under Ferrero's control, the CPK group "will be able to continue to develop within the context of a global industrial project," emphasized Amandine Ayrem, partner at Eurazeo, quoted in the press release.
Created in 2017 after the acquisition of 14 brands from the American group Mondelez and the combination in 2018 with the company Lamy Lutti, CPK is a French group operating in candy, milk chocolate and French chocolate brands, which employs more than 900 people and has three production sites and a workshop in France.
With this sale, CPK is expected to come under the umbrella of the European holding company Ferrara Candy, a leading confectionery company in the United States. As for Kellogg's, the brand will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Ferrero, which owns several major confectionery brands, including the famous Tic Tacs, as well as the spherical chocolate rocks popular at the ambassador's parties, according to the brand's must-see commercials.
