Consumption: cost, maintenance... Spotlight on the success of mini-pools

While its competitors on the market are two to three times more spacious, the Berger family's mini-pool measures 4 meters by 2.2 meters, and is less than 10 m² . " It's not very big, but frankly it's enough. (…) You can still do a few lengths and enjoy yourself," confides Camille Berger.

The equipment cost €16,000, including delivery and installation, about three times less than a larger unit. Maintenance is also less expensive: " around €300 a year."

XXS pools have become a fashion phenomenon, so much so that videos are flowing freely on social networks.

The season is in full swing at "Génération Piscine" in Revel (Haute-Garonne), one of the market leaders. Two days of manufacturing are enough, so nearly 40 models leave the warehouse each month. " This represents 20% of our turnover, and it's been growing steadily for the past five years ," says general manager Jérôme Auvigne, who adds that "the administrative formalities are simplified," with no work declaration or tax requirement.
