One of the great passions of Philippe Labro, who died on Wednesday, June 4, was America, which he discovered at the age of 18 during his studies. As a young journalist , he carried out his first major report in the United States. He was one of the special correspondents in Dallas (Texas, United States) to cover the Kennedy assassination. In the early 1980s, journalism led him to the set of Antenne 2, where he presented the news.

For fifteen years, he ran RTL radio. "He succeeded in every field where he tried to create something, and he tried in incredibly varied fields," explains Alain Duhamel, journalist and columnist. Philippe Labro also directed seven films, including L'Héritier with Jean-Paul Belmondo. An insatiable curiosity, he also wrote novels and even lyrics for Gainsbourg, Birkin, and Johnny Hallyday. When he passed away on Wednesday, June 4, Philippe Labro will have lived 1,001 lives.
