Inflation: Belgians prefer French supermarkets

In a store in Roncq, one in four customers comes from Belgium. Some out of pure habit, others keep an eye on the prices. Céline Lebrecht even uses an app to compare prices with Belgian prices. For her, there is no question of missing out on French bargains. " There is still a difference of 200 euros. It's worth it for petrol and a 30-minute drive," she says.
Belgian customers are being pushed to France by inflation. In one year, prices have increased by more than 4% on average in Belgium.
