Oyonnax. Palestine: Leafleting to "denounce the complicity of the Carrefour group"

The collective against the far right in Oyonnax and surrounding areas and the France Palestine Solidarity Association (AFPS) in Oyonnax joined forces to "denounce the complicity of the Carrefour group in the colonization of Palestine and the ongoing genocide." The reasons for this were the signing of "a franchise agreement with Israeli companies" and "support for soldiers. […] We organized a leafleting campaign together on Thursday, August 7 at 5:30 p.m., in front of the Carrefour in Oyonnax, on rue Brillat-Savarin, to raise awareness among customers about this complicity." Around fifteen activists distributed leaflets for an hour, in front of a Justice for Palestine banner. "This leafleting campaign is part of the BDS (boycott, divestment, sanctions) campaign launched in 2005 by more than 150 Palestinian organizations."

On Tuesday, August 5, a letter was sent to the store manager informing him of the leafleting. "He informed us that he opposed it in the parking lot, which is private. While genocide and organized famine are escalating in Gaza , we showed our solidarity with the Palestinian people, calmly and with respect for customers, before leaving following an urgent request from the national police."
