Passavant-la-Rochère. The La Rochère glassworks celebrates its 550th anniversary: a fiery anniversary

Made of glass and against all odds. La Rochère has survived wars, revolutions, changes of ownership, and economic crises. Founded in 1475, the glassworks, located in a hamlet of Passavant-la-Rochère , a village in Haute-Saône bordering the Vosges, has crossed the centuries to celebrate its 550th anniversary this year. This SME with 115 employees, owned since 2021 by a French family group Tourres & Cie, is today the oldest glassworks in operation in France.
